Next year we will be selecting the living groups and finalizing the architectural design.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-heading\"><em>The story so far\u2026<\/em><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>A little more than a year ago, we came together to build a &#8220;postcapitalist urban commune&#8221;. \ud83c\udfef<\/li><li>After months of community building and an intense sprint, we applied to the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.amsterdam.nl\/wonen-leefomgeving\/zelfbouw\/projecten\/archimedesplantsoen\/\">Archimedesplantsoen tender<\/a>&nbsp;by the City of Amsterdam.<\/li><li>We called it de Nieuwe Meent, the New Commons:&nbsp;<em>&#8220;a housing cooperative organised entirely around the principles of commoning&#8221;<\/em>.&nbsp;\ud83d\udc9e<\/li><li>By March, our proposal was selected as one of the three candidates for the final round. \ud83c\udf96<\/li><li>Then for the next three months, we met every Sunday to share food, co-design the building and formalise the association, while our architects worked tirelessly to make our dreams match the reality. \ud83d\udc69\ud83c\udffb\u200d\ud83d\udcbb<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">We\u2019re delighted to have you with us in this journey!<br>To Archimedesplantsoen and beyond! \u2728<\/h3>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>guess what?! \ud83e\udd14 We have won the tender! \ud83c\udfc6dNM is going ahead!!! \ud83d\ude80 Getting excited already?
